ABOUT STEVEN DANN

STEVEN DANN launched in 2005 and has quickly become the one-stop shop for Great Neck’s style conscious consumers. Founder Steven Dann saw a niche in the luxury accessories market and decided to fill that retail void with the today’s finest accessories collections. Acting as head buyer, his impeccably trained buying skills quickly caught the attention of designers and fashion houses alike. Dann’s concept for his boutiques is to focus on editorially driven accessories and to shy away from the mass market pieces available elsewhere. Specific designers have been known to produce “one of a kind” pieces for his boutiques with these highly coveted goods being available at only a few internationally renowned locations, including STEVEN DANN.

Dann’s initial design and retail intrigue began with his years of experience at such high-end brands as Giorgio Armani, Gucci Group, Versace, & Hogan. It was at these brands where Dann quickly became recognized for his buying and merchandising skills.

In 2009, following an inspirational sourcing and design trip to Europe, Dann launched his eponymous collection. Blending Italian craftsmanship with an American classic, Dann designed his first collection of riding boots, which sold out within days of its Fall 2009 debut. The STEVEN DANN collection uses only the highest quality textiles sourced from Italy including lambskin leathers, animal skins, and suedes. Dann believes it is all about craftsmanship with footwear.

The one-thing Dann values most is his consumer; they are smart, trend driven women whose style is rooted with a classic fashion sense.

Dann has been on countless “One To Watch” lists for both his boutique and collection. In 2010, Dann opened his appointment only Manhattan showroom. Here, by appointment only, guests can meet one on one with a buying consultant and privately preview current and forthcoming collections from such designers as Proenza Schouler, Nancy Gonzalez, Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Casadei, Giuseppe Zanotti, & Balmain.
